Trika Tapé Alain

Trika Tapé Alain is a 69-year-old cocoa farmer from Côte d'Ivoire, who has been cultivating cocoa for over fifty years. He manages two cocoa farms totaling 80 hectares near the borders of Liberia, but has recently faced significant challenges due to climate change, which has drastically reduced his cocoa production. Despite receiving better prices for his cocoa in recent years, he struggles to benefit from the global market due to government price controls.
