Trịnh Thành Nhơn is the founder of the once-thriving Dạ Lan toothpaste brand, which dominated the market in Vietnam during the early 1990s. He famously described his brand as 'a young girl in the prime of her youth' due to its popularity, capturing 90% of the market share in northern Vietnam. In 1995, he entered a joint venture with Colgate, which he later described as the 'biggest mistake of his life' as the partnership led to financial losses and ultimately the downfall of the Dạ Lan brand.
