Tristan de Luna y Arellano

Tristan de Luna y Arellano was a Spanish explorer and conquistador known for leading a colonization expedition to what is now the southeastern United States in the late 16th century. He is most recognized for his attempt to establish a settlement in Florida during the 1559 expedition, which ultimately faced severe challenges, including a hurricane that destroyed many of his ships.
