Tuk Wan

Tuk Wan is an elderly man who has returned from a period of hardship, finding himself in a rural area where he becomes a mentor figure to a younger boy, Akmal. He is portrayed as a resourceful individual, knowledgeable about the natural world, and willing to take risks, although he admits that the methods he proposes for making quick money are fraught with danger.
