Tutmosis II was the fourth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, reigning during the 15th century BCE. He is known for his military campaigns and for being the husband of the powerful queen Hatshepsut, who also served as his co-regent. His tomb, recently discovered by an archaeological mission, is noted for its simplicity and is significant as the last lost tomb of the Eighteenth Dynasty to be found, further illuminating the practices and beliefs of ancient Egyptian burial customs.
