Tyrone Simms

At 39, Tyrone Simms reflects on a transformative journey from illiteracy to empowerment, having struggled with reading and writing since dropping out of school at 16. Raised by his grandmother, he faced significant challenges in his education, but found motivation through a local youth club and support from the Jamaica Foundation for Lifelong Learning. Through perseverance, he overcame personal obstacles and developed a newfound confidence in his literacy skills.
