Umer Maqbool

Umer Maqbool was a 21-year-old Pakistani man who tragically died in a road accident in Reggio Emilia on his first day of a stable job. After moving to Italy two years prior to join his father and brothers, he had worked various precarious jobs before finally securing a position at a workshop run by Pakistani mechanics. Eager to succeed and focused on his new role, Umer had canceled his social media accounts to concentrate on his work and obtaining a driver's license. His untimely death has deeply affected his family, who were committed to his integration into Italian society.
