
Una Marson
Una Marson was a pioneering Jamaican poet, playwright, and broadcaster, recognized as one of the most influential Black figures of the 20th century. She broke barriers in British broadcasting as the first Black woman to be employed as a programme assistant and the first Black producer at the BBC, where she created programs that connected Caribbean service personnel with their families and highlighted emerging Caribbean writers.
