Unknown Advocate

An advocate in the Surxondaryo region of Uzbekistan was recently arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe of $50,000, in connection with a criminal case being heard in the local court. Reports indicate that he requested $60,000 from a defendant, promising to assist in obtaining a lenient sentence by leveraging connections within the judicial system. He was apprehended with material evidence at the time of the transaction, leading to charges of fraud and bribery under the Uzbek Criminal Code.
