The unidentified navigator, a man in his 30s from Ukraine, was recently in the news after being formally charged for negligence in navigation, following an incident where the tanker he was serving on ran aground near Trondheim. During an investigation, he admitted to falling asleep while on duty, which led to the grounding, although no injuries occurred among the 16 crew members on board. Authorities are now conducting a probe into the incident under maritime safety laws.
