A Hungarian electrician is initiating a legal claim for compensation after suffering severe injuries in an electrical accident at the Samsung battery factory in Göd in 2022, where he was electrocuted by nearly 7,000 volts. He sustained life-threatening third-degree burns covering more than a third of his body and spent a year in the hospital recovering from the ordeal. Despite the severity of his injuries, Samsung has only expressed regret without offering any financial compensation for the medical expenses, which are estimated to exceed 50 million HUF for necessary reconstructive surgeries.
