Uri Gerlitz

Lieutenant Uri Gerlitz, a 20-year-old from Mitzpe Ramon, served as a company commander in the Shimshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade. Tragically, he was killed in action due to the explosion of an IDF device in Khan Younis while his unit was engaged in operations to demolish a structure. Gerlitz is remembered as a young, brave, and dedicated officer who sacrificed his life for his country. He is survived by his family, including a mother who is a high school teacher and a brother and sister.
