Uroš Predić

Uroš Predić was a prominent Serbian painter known for his contributions to the development of modern Serbian art. Born in 1857, he gained recognition for his historical and genre paintings, often drawing inspiration from Serbian folklore and history. One of his most famous works, 'Kosovka devojka,' created in 1919, is inspired by a traditional Serbian ballad and depicts a tragic female figure searching for her lost fiancé on the battlefield.
