Urs Brändli

Urs Brändli is the president of Bio Suisse, the umbrella organization for Swiss organic farmers, a position he has held since 2011. He previously operated a successful organic milk farm for thirty years before passing it on to the next generation in 2015. Brändli is an advocate for sustainable agriculture and aims to increase the market share of organic products in Switzerland. He is also involved with the FDP political party and serves on the board of the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL). Recently, he has been in the news discussing the challenges facing the organic market, including stagnating sales and the decline in the number of organic farmers, as well as strategies to promote organic products amidst rising consumer price sensitivity.
