Urška Petek

Urška Petek is a passionate mountaineer and mother of four, who emphasizes the importance of experience over destination in hiking with children. She is a long-time volunteer guide with the Alpine Association of Slovenia, a leader of youth sections in local mountaineering societies, and an elementary school teacher. Through her book 'Majhni koraki, veliki vrhovi', she offers practical advice to parents on introducing their children to the joys and safety of hiking, emphasizing the need to adapt hiking experiences to children's abilities and interests.
