USGA
The United States Golf Association (USGA) is the governing body for golf in the United States, responsible for establishing and enforcing the rules of the sport. Founded in 1894, the USGA also conducts national championships, including the U.S. Open. The organization has been at the center of controversies regarding equipment regulations, as seen recently with Rory McIlroy's use of a nonconforming driver, which raised questions about compliance and player conduct in professional tournaments.
