Vaidas Augustinavičius has been appointed as the chief advisor to the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, replacing Irena Segalovičienė, who became the State Auditor. He has been part of the president's team since 2019, previously serving in the Government Office's Strategic Competence Group, where he coordinated initiatives to reduce the shadow economy and implement structural reforms. His prior experience includes working as the Deputy Director of the Fiscal Policy Department at the Ministry of Finance and leading the Forecasting and Risk Management Division of the State Treasury Department.
