Valentino Luchin

Valentino Luchin is a 62-year-old former chef originally from Este, Italy, who gained recognition as the executive chef of the renowned Italian restaurant 'Rose Pistola' in San Francisco. He moved to California in 1993, after honing his culinary skills in Italy and abroad. Luchin also owned 'Osteria Ottavio' in Walnut Creek, which closed in 2016, leading to significant financial struggles that resulted in bankruptcy. In September 2023, he was arrested for allegedly committing three bank robberies in a single day, marking a troubling turn in his life, following a previous bank robbery conviction in 2018. Luchin has expressed remorse for his actions, attributing his criminal behavior to financial desperation.
