Valenty Badilyak

Valenty Badilyak was a Polish political activist who became known for his dramatic act of self-immolation in 1980 as a protest against the suppression of the Katyn massacre's history in Poland. His sacrifice aimed to draw attention to the ongoing silence surrounding the atrocities committed during World War II, particularly the murder of Polish officers by Soviet forces in the Katyn Forest.
