Valeria Zarubina

Valeria Zarubina is a 35-year-old Ukrainian doctor who moved to Norway in April 2022 in hopes of gaining authorization to practice medicine. Despite successfully passing the first language test required for medical licensure, she decided to return to her hometown of Kyiv in 2025 after finding the lengthy and costly authorization process excessively challenging. Zarubina expressed her love for Norway and its people but felt that the system made it difficult for her to pursue her career in the country.
