Valery Muminzhanov

Valery Muminzhanov is a retired Russian general who previously served as the deputy commander of the Leningrad Military District for material and technical support. He was arrested in the fall of last year on corruption charges, accused of receiving bribes from a businessman over a seven-year period to ensure favorable treatment for government defense contracts. Muminzhanov has claimed that the allegations against him are based on inconsistent testimonies and are part of a conspiracy.
