Valmik Thapar

Valmik Thapar was a prominent Indian conservationist, author, and documentarian known for his tireless advocacy for tiger conservation and his deep connection to India's wildlife. He played a crucial role in the preservation of tigers in Ranthambhore National Park and co-founded the Ranthambhore Foundation, which integrated community welfare with conservation efforts. Thapar authored nearly 50 books and served on numerous wildlife committees, making significant contributions to conservation policies in India. His passing at the age of 73 marked the loss of a passionate voice for India's tigers.
