Vanessa Grand

Vanessa Grand is a 47-year-old journalist, singer, scientist, and activist from Leuk, Switzerland, known for her strong advocacy for inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. Living with Osteogenesis imperfecta, commonly known as glass bone disease, she has faced numerous challenges throughout her life, including over a hundred bone fractures. Despite these obstacles, Grand has excelled academically, becoming the first wheelchair user to attend a gymnasium in her region. She has also made a name for herself in the music industry, achieving success as a Schlager singer. Recently, she has entered the political arena, advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and participating in national debates to promote inclusivity in Swiss society.
