Vano Machavariani is a Georgian politician known for his critical stance against the United National Movement, particularly regarding the 2008 war. He gained attention when he was brought into the political fold by former President Giorgi Margvelashvili in 2011, although he later distanced himself from the party after a few meetings. His political maneuvers have been characterized by allegations of using his relationship with his brother, Mikheil Machavariani, as leverage for personal gain, culminating in his appointment as the director of the Partnership Fund.
