Vanya Konovalov

Vanya Konovalov is the son of former political prisoner Antonina Konovalova. After enduring a difficult separation from his mother during her incarceration, Vanya has been adjusting to life in Poland, where he now attends school and is learning the language. At 11 years old, he has shown resilience in coping with the challenges of his past, including feelings of distress related to his mother's imprisonment. Vanya's experiences have motivated him to learn Polish quickly, so he can explain his family's situation to his peers.
