
Vasil Glavinov
Vasil Glavinov was a prominent Macedonian socialist and one of the early organizers of the workers' movement in Macedonia. His efforts were instrumental in spreading socialist ideologies among the Macedonian diaspora in Bulgaria and in Macedonia itself. Glavinov and his followers believed in the interconnection between national liberation and economic freedom, leading to the first organized observance of May 1st as International Workers' Day in Macedonia in 1896.
