Vasilis Kontogiannopoulos is a former Greek Deputy Minister of Education, who gained attention in 1978 when he announced a new method for university admissions that aimed to eliminate entrance exams in favor of a system that would reduce the influence of tutoring and chance on students' educational journeys.
