
Vasilis Leventis
Vasilis Leventis was a prominent Greek politician and the founder of the Centrists' Union party. Born in 1951 in Messini, Greece, he was actively involved in student politics during the anti-dictatorship movement and later joined the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK). After a series of political endeavors, including candidacies for mayor of Athens and Piraeus, he established his own party in 1992. Leventis served as a member of the Hellenic Parliament from 2015 to 2019, representing the B’ Athens constituency. He was known for his dedication to political principles and social issues, leaving a lasting impact on Greek politics before his passing at the age of 75.
