Vasiliy Khomutovskiy
Vasiliy Khomutovskiy is a Belarusian football coach and former goalkeeper, currently serving as the goalkeeper coach for the youth team of FC Dynamo-BGUFK, which competes in the first league of Belarus. He recently made headlines for his analysis of two prominent Belarusian goalkeepers, Fedor Lapoukho and Pavel Pavlyuchenko, emphasizing the strength of the goalkeeper position in the national team. After the political unrest in Belarus in 2020, Khomutovskiy initially left the country to protest against violence and worked in Ukraine with fellow coach Oleg Dulub. His return to Belarus in 2022 led to his arrest for allegedly distributing extremist materials, resulting in a sentence following a brief period of detention.
