Vaughan Subritzky is a New Zealand man who gained notoriety for violently attacking a police officer in Auckland in November 2022. During a routine police patrol, Subritzky stabbed the officer in the head with a knife, causing significant injury. Initially sentenced to seven years in prison for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, his sentence was later reduced to six years and three months on appeal.
