
Víctor Julio Suárez Rojas
Víctor Julio Suárez Rojas, commonly known by his alias Mono Jojoy, was a prominent leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). He was born in Cabrera, Cundinamarca, and rose through the ranks to become a key figure in the organization, particularly known for his role in the Eastern Bloc of FARC. Mono Jojoy was responsible for numerous military operations and was heavily involved in the group's strategies during the Colombian armed conflict. He was killed in 2010 during a military operation known as Operation Sodoma, which targeted FARC leaders. His legacy is often discussed in the context of Colombia's complex history of violence and peace negotiations.
