Victor Wedderburn

Victor Wedderburn is a Jamaica-born photographer known for his debut exhibition 'Frontline 1984/1985,' which showcases over 100 color images documenting the lives of Bradford's African-Caribbean communities during the 1980s. A self-taught artist, Wedderburn began his photographic journey after purchasing a second-hand camera with his redundancy money, teaching himself to develop film in makeshift conditions. His work provides a poignant glimpse into a vibrant yet often forgotten era, celebrating cultural identity and community resilience.
