Viktor Furtuna

Viktor Furtuna is the chief prosecutor for organized crime in Moldova, known for his efforts in tackling serious criminal activities and corruption within the country. Recently, he was in the news for leading an investigation that resulted in the arrest of 74 individuals, aged between 19 and 45, linked to a purported Russian plan to incite unrest in Moldova ahead of critical parliamentary elections. Furtuna highlighted that many of the suspects had traveled systematically to Serbia for training, under the guise of pilgrimage, to prepare for destabilization efforts in Moldova.
