Viktor Ledenyov was a respected Belarusian journalist, writer, and playwright, born on January 15, 1941, in a place of exile in Adygea. He spent much of his life in Minsk and graduated from the journalism department at Belarusian State University, later working as a lecturer there. Ledenyov began his career at 'Znamya Yunosti' and contributed to the creation of over 30 films at the Belarusfilm studio. He co-founded the first independent film studio in Belarus, 'Artel F,' during the perestroika era, producing several films. Ledenyov was also an accomplished author, with works published in various countries, including his recent book 'Glasses,' which features new plays, stories, and poems. His life and career were marked by strong friendships and a commitment to his principles, even during challenging times, as noted by his friend Vladimir Neklyayev. Ledenyov passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a rich legacy in Belarusian culture.
