Viktor Lutze

Viktor Lutze was a senior leader within the Sturmabteilung (SA), the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party in Germany. He rose to prominence during the early years of the Nazi regime and was known for his close ties to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels. Lutze played a significant role in the consolidation of power for the Nazi Party and was appointed as the head of the SA following the Night of the Long Knives in 1934, a purge that significantly weakened the SA and eliminated its leadership. His tenure was marked by a focus on restoring order within the organization and aligning it with Hitler's vision for the Nazi state.
