He was apprehended at his shop in Baringo and endured a tense journey to Nairobi, fearing for his safety during his transfer. Kipsang expressed that his posts were motivated by frustration with the unfulfilled promises of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, which he had previously supported. After his release, he apologized for the content he shared, attributing it to his bitterness over political issues.
