
Violet Jessop
Violet Jessop was an Irish ocean liner stewardess and nurse, famously known for surviving the sinkings of both the RMS Titanic and its sister ship, the RMS Britannic. Born in 1887, she worked for the White Star Line and was aboard the Titanic during its ill-fated maiden voyage in 1912, where she escaped in a lifeboat. Later, while serving on the Britannic in 1916, she survived its sinking after it struck a German mine in the Aegean Sea. Her remarkable experiences in maritime disasters have made her a notable figure in maritime history.
