Viranjith Thambugala, the chairman of Awura Lanka Herbal Company, was in the news for admitting to charges of failing to properly submit VAT reports for the third quarter of 2019, resulting in a fine of 25,000 Sri Lankan Rupees imposed by the Colombo Additional Magistrate.
