Virginijus Jocys

Virginijus Jocys is a Lithuanian historian and cultural expert, currently nominated to serve as the chairman of the Ethnic Culture Preservation Council. He previously held this position from 2014 to 2017 and is recognized for his extensive work in promoting and preserving Lithuania's ethnic culture. Jocys is currently a senior curator at the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and has a rich background in cultural heritage institutions, including the Lithuanian State History Archive and the Trakai Historical National Park. He holds a degree in history from Vilnius University.
