Vishal Singhal, a 37-year-old resident of Gangangar in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly murdering multiple family members, including his first wife, father, and mother, to claim life insurance payouts worth Rs 50 crore. His fourth wife alerted the police after noticing suspicious patterns in the deaths, leading to an investigation that revealed Singhal's involvement in a broader insurance fraud scheme. He had already received Rs 1.5 crore from insurance claims and was attempting to file more when police intervened.
