Vishwanath Paudel
Vishwanath Paudel is the newly appointed Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, having been selected by a recommendation committee led by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel. With a background in economics and extensive experience in financial management, Paudel has previously served in significant roles including as a senior economic advisor in the Ministry of Finance and vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and has worked with the International Labour Organization as an economic advisor. His appointment comes during a challenging period for Nepal's economy, where he is expected to navigate complex financial issues and restore confidence in the banking sector.
