Vitalijus Mockus

Vitalijus Mockus, a 51-year-old Lithuanian from Jonava, has recently taken on the role of director at the Belarusian charity 'Baisol'. He moved to Vilnius in the early 1990s, converted to Orthodoxy, and studied at a seminary in Belarus, where he became familiar with the Belarusian language and culture. Over the years, Mockus has been actively involved in the Lithuanian Orthodox Church, advocating for peace and opposing Russian aggression. His commitment to social justice led him to participate in protests in Belarus and to support Belarusian refugees. Mockus's recent appointment at 'Baisol' reflects his dedication to humanitarian efforts and his stance against the current Belarusian regime.
