Vjekoslav Škrinjar is a former Croatian professional footballer, who gained recognition as a left-back during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is notably remembered for his participation in the infamous match at Maksimir Stadium in 1990, which sparked significant national tensions and foreshadowed the Croatian War of Independence.
