Vladimir Markovich Persov was a prominent Russian sound engineer known for his extensive work at the Lenfilm studio, where he began his career in 1969. Over the decades, he became a respected figure in the film industry, working alongside renowned directors like Alexander Sokurov, Svetlana Proskurina, and Sergey Ovcharov. Persov was recognized for his contributions to cinema with multiple Nika Awards and was a dedicated educator at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television, where he taught sound engineering until his passing at the age of 79.
