
Vladimir Svjatoslavovitš
Vladimir Svjatoslavovitš, also known as Saint Vladimir, was a Grand Prince of Kiev from 978 until his death in 1015. He is best known for Christianizing Kievan Rus' in 988, which laid the foundation for the Eastern Orthodox Church in the region. His reign marked a significant turning point in the history of Eastern Europe, as he united various Slavic tribes and established a centralized state.
