Vladislav Bajac

Vladislav Bajac is a Serbian author whose work lies at the intersection of history, philosophy, and literary imagination, creating spaces where East and West meet, and where the past and present continuously negotiate. His prose is introspective and well-informed, the result of decades of research, personal curiosity, and a passionate dedication to literature. This year, he was awarded the prestigious 'Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša' prize by the 'Grad teatar' festival, an acknowledgment he views as a somewhat uncomfortable yet honored belonging to the pantheon of literary giants in the region and beyond. Bajac is also the recipient of the Special Book Award of China and has served as the Vice President of the Serbian PEN Center. As the founder and editor-in-chief of the publishing house Geopoetika, he has significantly contributed to the literary landscape of the Balkans, reflecting on the role of literature in a rapidly changing world.
