Vladislav Chelakh

Vladislav Chelakh is a former border guard of Kazakhstan who was sentenced to life imprisonment in December 2012 for the murder of 14 fellow servicemen and a ranger at a temporary border post in May 2012. His case has drawn significant attention due to the brutal nature of the crimes and the subsequent legal proceedings, which upheld the original verdict despite appeals. As of June 2025, he continues to serve his sentence in a facility for life-term inmates, with no requests for clemency currently under consideration.
