Vladislav Jovanović was a prominent Serbian diplomat and politician, born in 1933 in Žitno Potok. He studied law in Belgrade, graduating from the Faculty of Law before embarking on a distinguished diplomatic career in 1957. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Yugoslavia on two occasions and held the position of ambassador to the United Nations and Turkey, as well as serving in various diplomatic roles in Brussels and London. Jovanović was actively involved in peace negotiations during the tumultuous 1990s, representing Yugoslavia in crucial discussions. He passed away at the age of 93.
