Vladislav Solovey

Vladislav Solovey, known by his call sign Sonya, is a Belarusian volunteer currently serving in the Ukrainian National Guard. Born and raised in Minsk, he trained as a lawyer and led a normal life until the protests in August 2020 transformed his perspective. He has since evolved from a machine gunner to a commander of a reconnaissance unit comprising international fighters. Solovey has observed significant changes in warfare during the ongoing conflict, particularly the shift towards drone usage and logistics management, which he emphasizes as critical to modern military strategy.
