Vlado Gorišek

Vlado Gorišek, along with his brother Janez, was a prominent Slovenian ski jump designer known for creating the ski jumps used during the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Their architectural legacy on Igman has since fallen into disrepair, reflecting the broader challenges of infrastructure maintenance in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite past efforts to restore the jumps, including fundraising initiatives and the potential for European funding, these plans have not materialized, leading to the deterioration of what was once an iconic sports facility.
